Solid Gold Q & A

Without a doubt, Solid Gold is one of the hottest bands playing in Minneapolis right now. (And I don’t mean, hot in the physical sense, but uh – that could be debated, just look at them.) They were nice enough to answer a few questions about themselves for tigerbeatpoet.com…
Fun times after the jump…
tigerbeatpoet: Who Are You, anyways?
Solid Gold: We are Solid Gold. There are five of us: Adam, Adam, Matt, Shon, Zack
tbp: Where are you guys really from? How did you get here?
SG: We are from Mars. We traveled on a very large rocket. We stopped in Atlantis where we found Shon and Adam. Shon was working there as a yoga guru. Adam was a medicine man, we took him from a sweat lodge.
tbp: How long have you been together? What’s your story?
SG: We have been together 7 earth years. Our story is long and retarded.
tbp: How long did you work on Bodies of Water and what influenced this amazing record?
SG: The record took us a year and a half to make. We found time to work here and there, recording on a budget of zero with Ryan Olcott (Mystery Palace), and several talented guest musicians. We were inspired by time passing with the equinox, it just so happened to be high tide.
tbp: It seems like you guys have been all over the world already, care to share your most memorable jet-set adventure?
SG: Memories are like meteors, they burn very fast and bright, and fade even faster. Until we all own jet-skis, we would rather not talk about the past.
